Fairmont Elementary School murals
I partnered with the Fairmont Elementary PTA to design and install a series of murals that brighten the campus, promote active transportation, and foster school pride. Click here to see the signage mural and here to see the bike mural in action!
What made this project even more meaningful was the hands-on collaboration with students and their parents. Over the course of these projects, we transformed the school together, building ownership, pride, and connection through art.
This mural series is the first of nine planned for the school, demonstrating a long-term investment in community-centered design.
The wayfinding signage mural is located on Stockton Avenue. This colorful mural incorporates icons that reflect student life while also functioning as directional signage, creating a welcoming front to the school.
The bike inspired murals are located on campus. These two murals near the school’s bike racks promote biking to school, including a custom local bike map to inspire students and families to explore their community on wheels.
